Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has yet to introduce their new villain, Namor, and yet the actor, Tenoch Huerta, is already looking forward to a solo Marvel movie. Though there are no details yet if his character even survives in the Black Panther sequel, getting a solo movie for the villain would be a good addition in expanding the MCU.
Speaking with Digital Spy, Tenoch Huerta opens up his thoughts on doing a solo Marvel film for his character, Namor, after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and he is quick to note that this would depend on the decision of Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and the audience to the sequel. He even makes his way to plead for fans to buy lots of tickets. Read his full quote below:
“I would like it but I don’t know. It depends on what Kevin Feige says he wants. It depends on the inbox. It depends on the people, and how many tickets they buy. So please: buy a lot of tickets.”
Seeing as director Ryan Coogler even noted how Namor can be ‘as strong as Hulk and Thor’, especially with Namor’s underwater abilities, a solo Marvel film would go a long way in introducing a new set of characters to add to the MCU, namely, his parents! It could even introduce the historical background as to how the underwater kingdom came to be in the first place, perhaps an initial alliance between the people in the underwater and the people from the surface.
