BIGBANG Daesung Is Now Under R&D Company

On Monday, R&D Company released a statement (per Korea JoongAng Daily) confirming Daesung's deal with the label.

"We have signed an exclusive contract with Daesung, a member of Big Bang, who is loved by K-pop fans around the world," the agency said. "With D-Lable, the [in house] team dedicated to supporting Daesung, we promise unending support toward the artist."

Apart from Daesung, the idol's manager of 10 years also joined the agency, the label disclosed.

With Daesung's move, fans can expect new music or project from the idol.

Daesung has not released anything as a soloist since dropping his second Japanese EP, D-Day, in 2017 before starting his mandatory military service the next year. The album contained seven songs, which he made with the help of several Japanese artists, including Hata Motohiro, Kameda Seiji, and Ayaka.

He also released the digital EP of Delight 2 in 2017. Its popularity led the team to release a physical format of the project.
