Benicio Del Toro Might Join the 'Predator' Reboot

Benicio Del Toro is in talks to star in the upcoming Predator reboot, Deadline reports. Del Toro has previously appeared in movies like The Usual Suspects, Sin City and Guardians of the Galaxy. He will also have roles in the upcoming drug war thriller Solodado and Star Wars: Episode VIII.

The original Predator movie that launched the franchise premiered in 1987.The movie focuses of a special forces team being pursued by a highly advanced, hostile alien. The movie went on to get two sequels and two crossover movies with the Aliens franchise (Aliens vs Predator).


Shane Black will be directing the Predator reboot. Black previously directed Iron Man 3 and The Nice Guys. He was also an actor in the original Predator movie, where he played the character of Hawkins.

The Predator reboot will be produced by 20th Century Fox. It is expected to air in 2018.
