Ben Affleck's Batman May Start Filming Very Soon

DC's films may be having their own developments and backtracks, but the much-awaited solo movie from Ben Affleck, Batman, seems to be progressing smoothly.

Actor Joe Manganiello, who is set to play the role of Deathstroke in the Batman movie, spoke at The Rich Eisen Show. Here he hinted that the film is about to start filming "at some point this year."

Whether it actually means that the film will start before the new year has to be clarified, but it's likely that filming will start in 2017, Comicbook.com reported.

Without revealing too much about the movie, Manganiello only referred back to the character he will be playing, which.

"I play a one-eyed--like, the world's deadliest assassin who also has one eye."

There have been little official details of what exactly Affleck's Batman will be like. Although there has been considerable talk that it will be an original story, and one that Manganiello referred to as a fresh take to the franchise.

"His take is a fresh take but I think the audience is going to be surprised. Because it's a road that no one's really gone down that's completely integral to, you know who Batman is. And I think it's gonna be refreshing but at the same time completely familiar."

Batman is still not yet dated for premiere in theaters. There are other DC films lined up, starting with Wonder Woman on June 2, 2017, Justice League on Nov. 17, 2017, and Aquaman on July 27, 2018. The Flash fans, myself included, are still holding tight for a good release date--or better yet, a good director to continue the work.
