Ben Affleck Felt Trapped In His Previous Marriage To Jennifer Garner?
In 2018, the Gigli star talked to Howard Stern regarding his failed marriage to Garner. He said that he felt trapped and had a feeling that he couldn't leave because they had three kids together.
"I'd probably still be drinking. It's part of why I started drinking … because I was trapped. I was like 'I can't leave 'cause of my kids, but I'm not happy, what do I do?' What I did was drink a bottle of Scotch and fall asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution," he said (via Yahoo! News).

Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Tried To Make Their Marriage Work For Years But They Grew Apart?
During the same interview, Affleck revealed that he and Garner tried to make their marriage work for many years for the sake of their children. But in the end, they realized that they had grown apart.
"The truth was, we took our time, we made the decision… We grew apart. We had a marriage that didn't work, this happens, with somebody that I love and respect, but to whom I shouldn't be married any longer. Ultimately, we tried. We tried, we tried because we had kids. Both of us felt like we don't want this to be the model that our kids see of marriage," he said.
Jennifer Garner And Jennifer Lopez Recently Formed A New Friendship?
Despite everything that's happened to Affleck and Garner, the exes have remained friends. In fact, even Affleck's new wife, Jennifer Lopez has an amicable relationship with the Alias star.
According to Us Weekly, the two Jennifers have formed a friendship in recent months.
"Now that Jen and Jen have been co-parenting, they've been getting to know each other better and have formed a very new friendship," the source said.
While speaking with Vogue, Lopez also called Garner an amazing co-parent to Affleck because the exes work really well as a team to take care of their kids.
"They have so many feelings. They're teens. explain how blending a family is hard work. "They have so many feelings. They're teens," she said. "But it's going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can't see with my kids because I'm so emotionally tied up," Lopez said in reference to all five of her and Affleck's children.
As for Garner, the 13 Going on 30 star has not publicly talked about Lopez.
