Also known as Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside,Banished from the Hero's Party was originally a light novel series that was adapted into a manga. The success of these mediums led Studio Flad and Wolfsbane to create an anime version of the hit story.
It focuses on Red, who was a former member of the Hero's party. It is a group that is fated to save the world from evil, particularly Taraxon, the Demon Lord. Unfortunately, one of the members of the group decided to kick Red out. The situation led him to change his goal to open an apothecary instead.

The first episode is set to premiere on October 6, 2021, on Funimation. Unfortunately, there is still no official announcement of how many episodes the series will have so fans will have to watch out for that.
Before the release of the series, the creators of the show decided to give fans a glimpse of the characters. It was revealed that 12 characters will be part of the show with Red, the former Hero's Party member, and Rit, an ex- adventurer, as the protagonists.
While there is not much information on the other characters, those who have not read the light novel and manga speculate that these might be Red's companions and other townsfolk that will complete the slice of life genre of the series.
About Banished from the Hero's Party
When Red was young, it was obvious that he has the capacity to be one of the heroes who can defeat Taraxon, the Demon Lord. He has a high-level skill in alchemy and did not have issues progressing in quests with his friends. However, once his companions improved, he could not catch up with them.
This led the party to decide to kick him out. Red then decided that he should open an apothecary shop using his skills. One day, Rit, an ex-adventurer, was also kicked out of the group and asked for Red's help. The two decided to join forces and enjoy a peaceful life.
