Popular anime VA Atsumi Tanezaki has been getting a lot of attention from fans recently, and not just because of her roles. Recently, Atsumi Tanezaki and fellow anime VA Yu Miyazaki revealed their marriage to fans.
Their marriage announcement was shared by the newlywed couple via their respective personal X (formerly Twitter) accounts. The two shared messages to fans, thanking them for their support.
Tanezaki and Miyazaki being married is quite a surprise, especially given how busy Tanezaki seems to be currently.
Atsumi Tanezaki Is Becoming One of the Most In-Demand VAs
Atsumi Tanezaki has been active as an anime voice actress for over a decade now, but she has recently become one of the industry’s most in-demand VAs. After all, she has been cast in lots of big roles over the past year.
Previously, Tanezaki was best known for voicing Rio Futaba in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.
In 2022, Tanezaki was cast in three popular shows, including Anya Forger in Spy x Family. Along with this, Tanezaki is also the VA of Inui Sajuna in My Dress-Up Darling and Lady Nagant in My Hero Academia.
Her latest major role is Frieren in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End which had its premiere just a few days ago.
It’s interesting that this new role of hers coincides with the next Spy x Family season where she reprises her role as Anya.
What makes her string of roles impressive is just how different they all sound. It’s pretty much impossible to guess that the voice of Anya is the same as Frieren.

Atsumi Tanezaki and Yu Miyazaki Announce Their Marriage
Anime VA marriage announcements are often a surprise given that voice actors often keep their private lives secret. Coupled with how busy she has been, Tanezaki’s marriage announcement definitely came out of nowhere.
Tanezaki’s husband is Yu Miyazaki, another notable VA who is best known for voicing Sachirou Hirugami in Haikyuu!! and Kihel in 100 Sleeping Princes.
Miyazaki will also voice the main character in A Sign of Affection which will air in Winter 24.
Both VAs shared the marriage announcements with personally written messages on X.
As is standard with marriage announcements like these, Tanezaki and Miyazaki said that they’ll continue to give their best in their careers. They also thanked fans for their continued support.
