Artificial City did not disappoint its team that it set a new personal best with its recent episode.
The continuous success of thriller films and series abroad pushed South Korean filmmakers to release more series and movies based on the same genre. Director Jeon Chang Geun followed that trend and made JTBC's Artificial City with the help of award-winning stars.
The psychological thriller explores the characters' lives whose greediness and power outshine other things. Soo Ae plays the role of Yoon Jae Hee, the second daughter-in-law in the family, who runs the art museum Space Jin. The character left her former lover and married the illegitimate son of a massive conglomerate in the country, the Sungjin group.
Aside from Soo Ae, other A-list celebrities completed the cast members, including Kim Kang Woo, Kim Mi Sook, Lee Yi Dam, and Lee Hak Joo.
Over a month since it premiered on December 8, Artificial City bloomed even more and set a new personal record in terms of ratings.

Artificial City Flies High Because of Ratings
Nielsen Korea confirmed on Thursday that the JTBC series successfully made a personal record by achieving its highest viewership ratings yet.
The measurement firm confirmed that the latest episode of Artificial City soared high with a 4.2 percent average nationwide rating. The number, so far, is the highest rating the drama made.

Although it reached a new mark, the series became the No. 1 Wednesday evening drama already in December. When it released its episode 5, Nielsen Korea noted a 4.1 percent average nationwide rating, beating Melancholia's 2.3 percent and School 2021's 1.5 percent.
Fans can continuously support the drama by tuning in on JTBC every Wednesday and Thursday.
Artificial City Star Soo Ae Becomes One of the Most Buzzworthy Stars
Aside from the recent milestone, the series' lead star previously joined the top 10 Most Buzzworthy actors in South Korea.
Good Data Corporation listed the top 10 drama stars who generated the most buzz in January, placing Soo Ae in 10th place.
Standing in first to fifth place are Lee Se Young, Lee Junho, Kim Da Mi, Choi Woo Shik, and Ji Hyun Woo. Meanwhile, the other stars who completed the top 10 were Lee Se Hee, Lee Jin Wook, Kwon Nara, and Lee Joon.
Artificial City is expected to run until February 10 for its episode 20.
