Marvel's Armor Wars Showrunner Claims Series is Still On the Way Despite Marvel SDCC Panel Absence

Marvel Studios recently made a splash at its San Diego Comic-Con Hall H presentation where they made announcements and confirmations on several projects that they're working on. However, one of the titles that were notably absent in the line-up is Armor Wars which made fans wonder if it is still happening at all.

Sometime after the presentation, Armor Wars head writer Yassir Lester posted on his Instagram stories and promised fans that the series is "still coming out" despite its absence in the Phase Five line-up that Feige revealed during the panel.

It is unknown why the series was absent in the presentation, but it is still great to hear an assurance that they are still working on it. After all, Marvel Studios is known to be working on dozens of projects at the moment with some of them unannounced. They are also expected to have another presentation at D23 this September where they will make more announcements on their projects.

However, it's just a matter of time before we see Don Cheadle return as James Rhodes since he is expected to make his next appearance in Secret Invasion. There are also speculations that he might show up in Ironheart given his connection to Tony Stark and armor suits.

While Marvel Studios itself is keeping mum on the status of the project, there is a huge possibility that they will reveal details about the series in their D23 presentation as well as announce its release window. If the Phase Five line-up that they showed is already locked, there is a chance that the series will instead be part of Phase Six.

The series' premise is described as: "James Rhodes must confront one of Tony Stark's greatest fears when Stark's tech falls into the wrong hands." Production reportedly begins later this year.
