Marvel's Armor Wars Receives Exciting Production Update

It was almost two years ago when Marvel Studios officially announced that they are working on Armor Wars, a series centering on James Rhodes/War Machine. However, since then, we haven't heard a lot of updates on the development of the project. Now, it looks like we have finally the information regarding its production schedule.

As reported by The Direct, a production update on Armor Wars can be found in executive producer Jenna Berger's description on the University of Pennsylvania's Idea To Film conference page where it says that the series will begin filming this fall in Atlanta. The information was first spotted by Reddit user u/RAMGonagall.

This marks the first major update that we've heard regarding the production of Armor Wars and it is in alignment with a rumor that surfaced earlier this year about this as well. However, Marvel Studios has not made any verification yet regarding this information although there is a chance that it is true since it comes from an official and approved description of one of its executive producers.

Cheadle is expected to star and reprise the role of James Rhodes in the series. Yassir Lester has also been tapped as the head writer. The series' premise is described as: "James Rhodes must confront one of Tony Stark's greatest fears when Stark's tech falls into the wrong hands."

It is great to hear that we now have a major update on the series since it's been a while since we've heard any information regarding it. We can now safely assume that, if they are indeed going to start filming this fall, it is likely that they will premiere the series by late 2023 or early 2024 at the very latest.

Obviously, we still have to take it with a grain of salt since the planned fall start is still tentative and could change to a later date. Either way, this is a confirmation that the series is still happening and they are working hard on developing the series ahead of its planned production start later this year.
