Aquatope on White Sand returned this week with Episode 22. It's unreal to think that the penultimate episode will hit our screens next week. We followed Kukuru throughout the summer and into the winter, and we'll be sad to see her, her friends, and their beautiful aquarium go. But somehow, the show leaves you with the impression that all your favorite characters will be ok, whatever they choose.

The original 24-episode anime will leave a gap when it goes, but we have two more episodes to enjoy until then.

Kukuru and Fuuka spent more time with Misaki, Umi-yan's wife, and learn about the challenges faced by sea turtles and other animals. Fuuka reads more and more about how to help and protect marine life. Kukuru resolves to do better for the animals, even if she can only do so through marketing for the time being.

Kukuru apologizes to her manager, who is rather unsympathetic. Once again. he assigns her the wedding plan proposal, telling her it's the last assignment. As an attendant role has opened, he has decided to have her change departments. Karin tries to hide her disappointment, as she also wanted to be an attendant.

Kukuru wholeheartedly devotes herself to her task. This time around, she asks all the employees in Tingaara how they would plan their own wedding in the aquarium, and notes their ideas and wishes. She, therefore, comes up with a fine proposal and even asks the wedding planner to come to Tingaara personally, to discuss.

At first, the wedding planner remains unimpressed. Upon seeing the facilities, however, she decides to give Kukuru's unorthodox plan a go. For once, the Assistant Manager is pleased with Kukuru. As for Kukuru herself, she's no longer sure whether or not she wants to leave marketing.

Later, Kukuru celebrates with her friends and is happy to find out that Karin will also apply to be an attentant. Sadly, she also finds out that the attendant who will be quitting is Kai, as his father is sick. Thankfully, Kai explains that he will only stay away from work for as long as his parents need him, and will then return to Tingaara,

Aquatope on White Sand Episode 23 Release Date

Aquatope of White Sand Episode 23 is going to air next Friday, the 10th of December for subscribed Crunchyroll users. Due to time zone differences, many international fans will be able to stream it from December 9 depending on where they are in the world.

Non-subscribed users will have to wait an extra week, so they will be able to stream Episode 23 online later, but episode 22 will be available to everyone for free with ads by December 10. Meanwhile, you can also check the ongoing manga adaptation.
