Aquaman Director James Wan Has Awesome Advice For Aspiring Young Filmmaker

There is little doubt that filmmaking can be hard work. Interestingly, Aquaman director James Wan believes that young people shouldn't give up on their dreams of working in major Hollywood movies.

Wan was recently interviewed by two young fans about the new DC Extended Universe film. The Conjuring director also learned that one of the kids wants to be a filmmaker someday so he gave her a great advice on how to succeed in Hollywood. Watch the awesome video below.

Wan said, "It's so easy for you to just sort of make something and for it to be seen, right? Use your phone or get a little camera and just shoot something and put it together, I think that's the best way, you know? The more you shoot, the more you write your scripts, the more you edit you just get better and better. And so, like they say, practice makes you better."

It's no surprise that Wan gave an excellent advice to the aspiring young director. After all, Wan himself started out by just working on his own little films before he eventually became a respected filmmaker. It's refreshing to see a great director being completely enthusiastic about a teenager's dreams of being a filmmaker.

Wan is known for his work on horror films like Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring. However, he has also directed successful movies like Death Sentence and Furious 7. There is little doubt that his work on Aquaman will lead to more major projects in the future.

Aquaman is scheduled for release on December 21.
