Spider-Man: No Way Home is swinging its way to theaters this year and is being hyped up as the "most ambitious superhero film ever". However, despite that, it's quite baffling how we still don't know much about the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe project other than the fact that it'll feature the returns of Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina as Electro and Doc Ock respectively.

The film which began production late last year is being heavily rumored to be the MCU's live-action version of the Spider-Verse and the rumor mill has been spinning rapidly and several theories have surfaced all over the internet linking both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to the project. However, all parties involved have immediately shut down the rumors and even Spider-Man actor Tom Holland has come out on several occasions to debunk their involvement in the film.

After his declaration that he didn't get a call from Marvel Studios and Sony to return for No Way Home, Garfield is once again reiterating that he's not going to be involved in the highly-anticipated MCU project. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the British actor said: "Oh man. I feel like I'm in a game of werewolf and I'm just saying, 'I'm not the werewolf! I promise you guys, I'm not the werewolf. Listen, what people are talking about is a really cool idea and, again, I haven't received a phone call."

When asked if the thought of ever playing Spidey again crossed his mind, Garfield pretty much implied that he's no longer interested in taking on the role and that his days as Spider-Man are way behind him. He added: "It's weird. It's really not something I've thought about because I closed the book on it for myself and I haven't had need to think about it, so it's not something I've really considered. That's my honest answer." Check it out here:

Take it the way you want it but you also gotta understand that Garfield could just be trying his best to deny his true involvement in the film to avoid spoiling anything. We all know the level of secrecy that goes into these films so of course, it's only natural for everyone involved in the project to keep everything under wraps as much as possible. What I'm trying to say here is, I don't buy any of Andrew's statements and I'm sure a lot of fans share the same sentiment but then again, we could all be proven wrong in the end.
