A lot of The Boys fans are looking forward to the upcoming college-set spinoff Gen V which is set to be an expansion of the beloved series as it will tell more stories within its universe.

Recently, Amazon announced that the series is officially slated to premiere on Prime Video this September although they haven't revealed yet around that time which exact date will it drop.

Now, a week after the show's release window reveal, we finally know when the series will exactly premiere as well as the release plan which will be similar to the main series.

Gen V Will Officially Arrive on Prime Video This September

Amazon has announced that Gen V is officially set to arrive with three episodes on Prime Video on Friday, September 29. The subsequent episodes will stream weekly every Friday until the season finale on November 3.

The show's synopsis reads: "Gen V explores the training of the first generation of superheroes to know about Compound V, and that their powers were injected into them, rather than God-given."

"These young, competitive heroes put their physical and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the school’s highly coveted top ranking."

"They quickly come to learn that ambition comes with sacrifice, and the difference between right and wrong is not as clear as they once believed. When the university’s dark secrets come to light, the students must come to grips with what type of heroes they are going to become."

Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi are starring in the spinoff with appearances from The Boys cast members such as Colby Minifie and Jessie T. Usher.

This is certainly an exciting update as we finally have the exact date of its premiere and fans can now mark their calendars to anticipate its release near the end of September.

We should be hearing more news and updates about the series in the coming weeks or months as we're heading closer to its release this fall.
