Next month, the highly-anticipated Star Wars series Ahsoka will finally premiere and a lot of fans have been looking forward to seeing the titular character's next chapter in the galaxy far, far away.

The series is set to be a continuation of the Rebels animated series as recently confirmed. It will also follow up on the events of the titular character's episode of the second season of The Mandalorian where they revealed that she was on a quest to find Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Fans have been wondering about when exactly the series will take place in the timeline especially with many shows airing concurrently. Now, we finally know the answer from one of its stars.

Ahsoka is Confirmed to Take Place at the Same Time as The Mandalorian Season 3

Speaking recently with SFX magazine (via GamesRadar), Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren in the upcoming series, revealed that Ahsoka is set to take place right around the same as the third season of The Mandalorian.

She also noted that all Star Wars live-action shows (presumably sans Andor) that are airing or will air soon are connected.

"I think it’s hard not to feel part of something bigger. Ahsoka runs along the same timeline as The Mandalorian season 3, and the shows are all connected. There’s just so many parallels," she said.

There you have it, we finally have the clarification regarding the show's exact placement in the Star Wars timeline.

While it is obvious that it is set years after Return of the Jedi, we now have an exact idea about how it connects with the other live-action shows especially with the ones that are currently ongoing or are set to premiere soon.

It also explains why Bo-Katan Kryze is allegedly going to be absent in the upcoming series since she is already busy with her own adventure as we just saw in the third season of The Mandalorian.

It is now interesting to see whether Ahsoka will make some references or connect to the storylines that were recently explored in the third season of The Mandalorian given that it is officially known now that they are taking place concurrently.
