Following her live-action debut during the second season of The Mandalorian, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano will finally headline her own series in Ahsoka which is set to premiere in just a couple of months.

While most of the plot details are being kept under wraps at the moment, we do know that it will continue some of the story threads from Rebels and the titular character's episode in The Mandalorian including her hunt for the villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn.

The trailer also revealed that Morgen Elsbeth, who we last saw in Ahsoka Tano's episode of The Mandalorian, will also make an appearance in the series continuing her duty as an associate of Thrawn.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Diana Lee Inosanto, who plays Morgan Elsbeth, discussed her upcoming return in Ahsoka where she shared her excitement about fleshing out her character when we see her again in the series.

"When I found out that they were going expand her character, I was just over the moon about this," she said.

"I just couldn't believe how the planets and the stars aligned. And to be able to work with such a magnificent cast and to grow as an actress and feel that energy, it's a dream come true."

Obviously, Inosanto didn't reveal her character's story arc in the series, but she did hint that Morgan's backstory will be explored.

"The beautiful thing was, Dave was always there to assist me on what her backstory is. She's quite the manipulator, and we all know she's cold-hearted, but this is a character that is truly dedicated and loyal to Grand Admiral Thrawn. And there's nothing getting in her way," she teased.

"What I really love is that we are going to get into her backstory. I'm just thrilled and excited, and I think the fans are going be quite fascinated and pretty happy about this."

Despite only appearing for just one episode, Morgan Elsbeth surely made a great impression amongst fans and it helps that she was part of a memorable fight sequence against Ahsoka Tano during their appearance in The Mandalorian.

It is interesting to see how they'll present her backstory and why her character is loyal to Thrawn as well as how she'll play into the overall story of the series. Fortunately, we will be able to find out about it very soon.
