Before Marvel had its Disney+ series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was its very first MCU spin-off TV series. The show premiered in 2013 on ABC ran for seven seasons. It starred Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) who is a rebel hacker that turned into a S.H.I.E.L.D. operative. She later turned into superhero Quake and worked under the command of Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg).
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. aired its final episode in 2020, but there was a new leak that suggests Quake might be back soon. On December 20, a leak on Brazilian Twitter by the account Nação Marvel suggested that Chloe Bennet will return her role as Daisy in the MCU franchise. It is not clarified in which project Bennet will appear or if the leak is trustworthy. Bennet didn't comment on the speculations. Check out the tweet here.
No matter how fans view the supposed leak, there is a wiggle room in the MCU that will allow Daisy to come back to the MCU. In the final episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Daisy, Kora (Dianne Doan), and a time-displaced Agent Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) in a mission on space. Fans theorized that they may not be working with the Sentient World Observation and Response Department or S.W.O.R.D., which guards Earth for any potential alien threats. The organization will also appear in the Disney+ series WandaVision.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did not fully detailed Daisy's mission, but this was not the only time S.H.I.E.L.D. went too far out. Before exploring space, the crew also time-traveled and changed the trajectory of the timeline, even the future fates of several characters. This means the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. followed its own parallel timeline in the MCU.
The future of the MCU would seem to be opening up to timelines with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which opens doorways in parallel universes and alternate timelines. Daisy may join the MCU through Multiverse of Madness. Even the Ant-Man movie is diving into time-travel potentially opening opportunities for Daisy to join the wider league of the franchise.
