aespa established a partnership with Warner Records before their comeback.
aespa has been showering their fans with good news soon after making it to the Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list this year. For what it’s worth, the girl group got into the magazine alongside Squid Game Jung Ho Yeon for becoming one of the hottest girl groups in the K-pop industry.
With that, they proved how hot they are by dropping a new trailer for their album, Girls.
Amid their success, aespa unveiled more good news as they plan to expand their empire overseas.
aespa Secures Partnership with Warner Records
On June 1, aespa’s agency SM Entertainment confirmed that they entered a global partnership with Warner Records for the distribution and marketing of the girl group’s music overseas.
It will then allow their second mini-album, Girls, to be released simultaneously in the US and Korea on July 8.
In addition, aespa will pre-released their English song Life’s Too Short weeks before their comeback. They already performed the track during their first appearance at the Coachella in April.
“Under the leadership of SM founder Lee Soo Man, aespa has already established influence all over the world,” Warner Records co-chairmen Tom Corson and Aaron Bay-Shuck said. “We consider it an honor that aespa has joined the Warner Records family as our first K-pop group.”
Aespa Shares Pre-Release Track
Following SM Entertainment’s announcement, aespa officially released their new song, Illusion, from their upcoming mini-album.
On their YouTube channel, the group unveiled the song’s lyric video.
As of press time, it already has nearly 200,000 likes and more than half a million views.
In addition to these news, Apple Music reported that aespa would be its Up Next artist in June, officially making the girl group become the second Asian artist to appear in the segment. They will follow NCT 127’s legacy with their appearance.
