What is the K-drama A Time Called You About?
A Time Called You is a time-travel mystery romance K-drama that follows Han Jun-hee, a woman who’s grieving the loss of her boyfriend who died one year ago.
One day, she goes back in time to 1998 and finds herself as a high school student Kwon Min-ju. There, she meets Nam Si-heon, a high school student who resembles her late boyfriend, Gu Yeon-jun.
Actress Jeon Yeo-been describes the time-slip romance drama as “a love story that intertwines the fates of two characters who look the same but have opposite personalities.”
Is the K-drama A Time Called You Based on a Webtoon?
A Time Called You is based on the Taiwanese television series Someday or One Day (2019-2020). The K-drama is a remake of the hit Taiwanese series that garnered more than one billion views worldwide through OTT platforms.
A Time Called You director Kim Jin-won was a fan of the original Taiwanese series. In a press conference for the Netflix series, Kim said,
Kim also said “The two series may look alike, but they have different MBTIs. They have different personalities. I am sure many viewers, whether they loved ‘Someday or One Day’ or have not watched it, will enjoy the show and the original soundtracks performed by Korean artists.”
A Time Called You Cast: Who Stars in the K-drama?
Jeon Yeo-been and Ahn Hyo-seop play dual roles in the K-drama A Time Called You. Jeon Yeo-been stars as Han Jun-hee and high school student Kwon Min-ju.
Ahn Hyo-seop stars as Gu Yeon-jun, Han Jun-hee’s boyfriend, and Nam Si-heon, a boy from 1998 who resembles him.
Kang Hoon also joins the cast of A Time Called You as Jung In-gyu, Si-heon's best friend, who has a crush on Min-ju.
