A Mera Spinoff Series Could Be in Amber Heard's Future

It looks like Amber Heard's career will continue to flourish this year despite her highly publicized legal battle with former spouse Johnny Depp. So far, we can expect to see her reprise her role as Mera in Aquaman 2 as well as an appearance in the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League.

Several entertainment sites have claimed that Amber's position in the DC Extended Universe could still be in peril especially if she ends up losing her case against the ex-Pirates of the Caribbean actor. In fact, we've reported last month that Warner Bros. has a contingency plan in case things go south for the controversial actress.

However, it still seems pretty obvious that WB is pretty adamant about keeping Heard around. Insider Daniel Richtman reports on his Patreon account that Amber Heard could star in her own HBO Max series which will revolve around Mera's adventures.

The claim has yet to be confirmed so for now, take everything with a huge grain of salt but don't act all surprised if she does end up getting her own DC spinoff series. I'm not entirely sure how fans will react to this news considering a lot of them are hell-bent on

Meanwhile, the Snyder Cut of Justice League hits HBO Max this March.
