Fans have more K-drama series to watch in August 2022!

This year has already been fruitful in South Korea’s TV industry. After the success of Squid Game last year, more TV series garnered attention and witnessed an increase in their viewership ratings.

Months before wrapping up 2022, here are the upcoming K-dramas to watch in August 2022!

Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist

Kim Min Jae, Kim Hyang Gi, and Kim Sang Kyung come together to adapt the novel of the same name into a K-drama series. Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist, is an upcoming historical-medical Korean drama about the life of Yoo Se Poong, a physician for the royal family who soon loses his job due to a conspiracy about the monarchy.

He leaves the palace and works in Gyesu village, where he starts training to become a doctor. He then focuses on patients with physical and mental health issues.

Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist will be released on August 1.

If You Wish Upon Me

Ji Chang Wook will soon offer a tear-jerking drama with the arrival of If You Wish Upon Me. His K-drama, featuring veteran star Sung Dong Il, was inspired by a real-life organization in Netherlands wherein terminal cancer patients can make wishes.

It explores the life of a young man who goes to a hospice hospital following a community service order. He joins the hospital’s staff and helps it fulfill the wishes of people near the last days of their lives.

If You Wish Upon Me, also titled Tell Me Your Wish,release date is August 10.

A Model Family

A Model Family is an upcoming crime thriller that explores the predicaments that happen in a family that is about to face divorce and bankruptcy. Dong Ha, played by Jung Woo, finds a car full of cash. However, it causes his family to be in danger after meeting a drug cartel.

The K-drama features Jung Woo, Yoon Jin Seo, Park Hee Soon, Kim Sung Oh, and Park Ji Hyun, to name a few.

Netflix will release A Model Family on August 12.

Stock Struck

For people who are into the stock exchange and trading, Stock Struck (also known as Ants Are Riding) revolves around five financial investors who find each other during a stock exchange gathering.

One soon-to-be bride starts investing but loses her money. Meanwhile, a part-time worker surprisingly gets out with a luxurious car at night.

Jung Moon Sung, Kim Sun Young, Han Ji Eun, Hong Jong Hyun, and Jang Gwang appear in the series.

Stock Struck will drop episode 1 on August 12.

Little Women

Missing Squid Game’s Wi Ha Joon? Little Women added the actor to its main cast members alongside KimGo Eun, Nam Ji Hyun, Park Ji Hoo, and Uhm Ji Won. The series is an upcoming adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel of the same name.

The original story is set in the 1800s, the K-drama version is set in modern-day Korea. It tells the story of three sisters who share a close relationship despite growing up in a poor family.

K-drama fans will know their story starting on August 27.

BONUS K-drama: Love According To Law

A legal practitioner vows not to date for the rest of her life and opens a law café instead. The place is where people can socialize and avail of legal assistance.

It is one of the most-anticipated K-drama this year as it features Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young.

Love According To Law’s release date is on August 29.
