The newly-released Magic: The Gathering set Zendikar Rising features some wonderful art from talented Magic artists, and Matt Stewart's artworks of Emeria Captain, and the new Modal Double-Faced Card, Emeria's Call // Emeria, Shattered Skyclave are three of the most brilliant ones you can find in the brand new expansion.
Matt Stewart's three Zendikar Rising original artworks went on sale in auctions on the MTG Art Market. On Sunday, September 6, 2020, his Emeria Captain sold for $7,500, and his two associated pieces, Emeria's Call and Emeria, Shattered Skyclave, sold for $9,050 and $9,400, respectively. That's a total of $25,930 for all three artoworks! Vorthos Mike was the auctioneer for the artist. They're all works of oil on gessoboard measuring 18 inches by 24 inches each.
