The 30th Buil Film Awards has concluded and successfully presented deserving awards for groundbreaking acts in the Korean film industry. The annual festival was hosted by Busan Ilbo, a Busan-based newspaper, and commenced on October 7, 2021, at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in Busan, South Korea.
Yoo Ah In Wins Best Actor For Voice Of Silence At The 30th Buil Film Awards, Jeon Jong Seo As Best Actress
The 30th Buil Film Awards recognized Yoo Ah In as the Best Actor for the 2020 indie crime film Voice of Silence. The actor won over Uhm Tae Goo for Night in Paradise, Kim Yoon Seok for Escape from Mogadishu, Sol Kyung Gu, and Byun Yo Han for The Book of Fish.
While Jeon Jong Seo took home the Best Actress Award against Jeon Yeo Been for Night in Paradise, Go Ah Sung for Samjin Company English Class, and Moon So Ri for Three Sisters.
Escape From Mogadishu Takes Home Six Awards Including Best Film
The action-drama film Escape From Mogadishu wins Best Film at the 30th Buil Film Awards. The film is based on actual events and won against The Book of Fish, Moving On, Introduction, and Voice of Silence.
On the other hand, Best Director was awarded to Lee Joon Ik for The Book of Fish. The other nominees for Best Director were Ryoo Seung Wan for Escape from Mogadishu, Yoon Dan Bi from Moving On, Lee Seung Won from Three Sisters, and Hong Eui Jeong from Voice of Silence.
Escape From Mogadishu also won Best Supporting Actor, Popular Star Award for Male, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Music.
