Escape From Mogadishu is a Korean film directed by Ryoo Seung-wan, who also worked in the films The Battleship Island and Veteran. This action drama film stars Kim Yoon Seok, Jo In Sung, Heo Joon Ho, Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim So Jin, Jung Man Sik, Kim Jae Hwa, and Park Kyung Hye.
Based on real events, the film is set during the Somali Civil War and the two nations of Korea in their efforts to be admitted to the United Nations. The film happens in 1991 in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia.
