Star Wars: Check Out this Padme Amidala Poster that Comes with Thrawn Alliances Book

We've known for a while that Thrawn will meet Anakin Skywalker in the Thrawn: Alliances book, but what we didn't know was that the book will also feature a story with Padme Amidala. Star Wars.com has released a new excerpt from the book, and has given us this new image of Padme.

This poster of Padme will come with the Barnes & Noble exclusive edition of the book. It actually finds her on the planet Batuu, the same planet supposedly showcased in Disney's Star Wars theme park, Galaxy's Edge.

With most of the new canon material focusing on other characters like Leia, it's actually nice to see more of Padme again. We've had countless Vader stories since Disney took over Lucasfilm, but I think some people would want to see more of Padme as well. After all, she is the ‘Leia' of a younger generation of Star Wars fans.

What's interesting about this new Thrawn book is that it tells two stories in Thrawn's life; one where he is still a member of the Chiss Ascendency, and another when he is already working with the Empire. In both stories, he's forced to cooperate with Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. Knowing Timothy Zhan's knack for Star Wars novels, Thrawn: Alliances should be a great addition to the canon.

Both the standard and Barns & Noble editions of Thrawn: Alliances are now available for pre-order.
