We already know three of the four lead characters in Solo: A Star Wars Story, but so far we have no idea who Emilia Clarke's character Qi'Ra is. Apparently, Qi'Ra is someone who shares a deep history with Han, and it looks like she's one of the more "elegant" rogues in the galaxy.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Alden Ehrenreich describes Qi'Ra:
"Yeah, they've known each other for a long time and she's a very important person in his life."
I think she has a slightly different way of handling herself in this tough universe. She's better at working the system rather than bucking against it."
Seeing that Qi'Ra is with Han during his speeder chase in the trailer, I have a feeling that they would be separate at some point and be reunited once again for Beckett's (Woody Harrelson) heist. Clarke also describes her character:
"She has a couple of guises, but essentially she is just fighting to stay alive. If you've got a really glamorous lady in a really sordid environment, you kind of know the glamour is hiding a few rough roads."
Based on the descriptions, my guess is that Qi'Ra will be some form of love interest for Han who will die near the end of the movie. I expect the scene to be heartbreaking, but I have a feeling that Qi'Ra will be some early form of Princess Leia, and it's Leia's attitude being close to Qi'Ra's that will attract Han to her in A New Hope. It's just a guess, but maybe Qi'Ra is the one who'll say "I know," to Han's "I love you."
I wonder what that will mean for Han and Leia's romance though.
