Thor: Love and Thunder Reportedly Bringing Back Dead Asgardian

There is little doubt that Thor: Love and Thunder are going to be a huge film considering that it will feature several Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. But is it possible that the sequel is also bringing back someone who already died before the Blip? A new report points out that the cast of Thor 4 had some unexpected company in Australia.

ComicBookMovie recently reported about the Love and Thunder set which could reveal how Matt Damon and Sam Neill will play into the film. The report points out that the set looks a lot like a stage similar to what appeared in Thor: Ragnarok. This could mean that Damon and Neill will once again portray actors in a play.

While this is all interesting on its own, the report also revealed that Damon has been spotted on the set with Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba.

This is a huge surprise considering that Elba's character Heimdall was killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, long before the Blip. This means the character couldn't be brought back after the Blip was reversed.

So how exactly is Heimdall's return going to be explained in Thor: Love and Thunder? There's a possibility that we'll see a flashback in the sequel. On the other hand, some are hoping that the Asgardian will be back for good.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be directed by Taika Waititi. The sequel is currently in production in Australia and is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022.
