There is little doubt that Dave Filoni is one of the most influential people in the Star Wars Universe, perhaps second only to George Lucas. So it's no surprise that fans went out of their way to greet the Star Wars: The Clone Wars creator on his 44th birthday on June 7th. In response, Filoni expressed his gratitude by sharing a never-before-seen sketch of Ahsoka Tano.
Filoni took to his official Twitter account to post a message for Star Wars fans who greeted him on his birthday. Take a look at his tweet below.
"Many thanks for all the well wishes, I really appreciate it. Now here is a little something for all of you," Filoni wrote before adding a quote from J.R.R. Tolkien from The Fellowship of the Ring. "'Do not trouble your hearts overmuch with thought of the road tonight. Maybe the paths you each shall tread are already laid before your feet, though you do not see them.'"
It's an awesome post considering that this might be one of Filoni's first sketch of Ahsoka. In addition to that, the quote might be a reminder that fans should prepare for the final season of The Clone Wars.
Filoni also served as co-creator and executive producer for Star Wars Rebels. He also wrote and produced Star Wars Resistance. Filoni's next major project is the Disney+ live-action series The Mandalorian where he will direct the pilot episode.
The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ on November 12.
