Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Is Banning Staff From Saying A Certain Word Around Guests

There are certain words that you probably try to avoid saying around kids in fear that they would repeat them. Sure, these are mostly swear words but a relatively harmless word is currently being banned at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

The revelation comes from YouTuber Jenny Nicholson who recently dropped by at the new Disneyland attraction. Interestingly, Nicholson revealed that the staff told her that there is one term they should never use when referring to children. Take a look at her tweet below.

"Also a cast member said 'kids' and I jokingly said 'oh, younglings?' and she blindsided me by telling me they're already scrubbing 'younglings' from the vocab. Parents didn't like it because one of the only times you hear it in the movies is the phrase 'killing younglings.' Fair," Nicholson wrote.

It's an interesting ban that somehow tries to censor something that happened in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Although the term 'younglings' started out as a seemingly harmless term when Yoda first used it while speaking to Obi-Wan Kenobi, that took a sinister turn when Anakin Skywalker turned against the Jedi in Revenge of the Sith.

It is unclear if guest themselves will be banned from using the word around Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. For now, visitors who are hoping to get the Disneyland staff to say 'younglings' will be disappointed.

The word isn't the only thing banned from Galaxy's Edge. It was previously reported that anyone older than 14 years old is not allowed to wear a Star Wars costume while visiting Disneyland.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is now open at Disneyland.
