Stan Lee Marvel Tribute to Air on Same Day as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, The Witcher

It seems like Marvel wouldn't have anything new to offer fans before the end of the year. However, it has just been confirmed that there will be an awesome tribute to the late Stan Lee that will air on ABC.

The news comes from CBR, which reveals that there will be a one-hour special titled Celebrating Marvel's Stan Lee. The tribute will cover Lee's life and works and will feature several guests including Tom Hiddleston, Todd McFarlane, Kevin Feige, Gerry Conway, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Saquon Barkley, Jimmy Kimmel, Method Man, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, Lauren Ridloff, Kevin Smith, Deborah Ann Woll, Joe Quesada, Seth Green, Bob Iger, CB Cebulski, Mark Hamill and more.

It's interesting that the special will feature Hamill considering that it will air on the same day as the premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. In addition to that, it's going up against Netflix's The Witcher. Needless to say, it's going to be a truly special day for every fandom.

The description for the tribute reads as follows:

"Filmed in part in front of a live audience at The New Amsterdam Theater in New York City, Celebrating Marvel's Stan Lee takes viewers on an action-packed journey throughout the life of Lee and across the Marvel Universe, sharing never-before-seen interviews and archive footage with Lee himself from deep within the Marvel and ABC News archives."

We're loving the idea that we will get to celebrate Lee's life before the end of the year. Now, we can truly say that the third Friday of December is going to be a truly special day.

Celebrating Marvel's Stan Lee will air on ABC on December 20.
