There is little doubt that we've seen a lot of Paul Atreides in the Dune promos since last year. After all, he is the protagonist of the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Frank Herbert's novel.
However, we have yet to get a clear look at the movie's main antagonist Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. Luckily, the new character posters for the Denis Villeneuve flick offer a dark yet moody look at the terrifying villain.
The character posters were shared by the official Dune movie Twitter account. The Baron's poster features Stellan Skarsgârd holding his bald head in thought. Check it out below.
It's great to finally see the Baron in all his bald glory. Hopefully, we'll get to see him in action when a new Dune trailer is released in the next few weeks.
We also got character posters for Timothee Chalamet's Paul Atreides, Rebecca Ferguson's Lady Jessica, Oscar Isaac's Duke Leto Atreides, Jason Momoa's Duncan Idaho.
The Dune character posters also include Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Zendaya as Chani, and Javier Bardem as Stilgar.
Sadly, we don't get a poster for Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban aka the Beast. Nevertheless, we're expecting to see more of him when a new trailer for Dune is dropped soon.
Dune also stars Stephen McKinley Henderson, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Charlotte Rampling. The movie is set for an out-of-competition world premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival on September 3, 2021. It will then hit theaters and screen on HBO Max on October 22, 2021.
