Dune Special IMAX Screening Event Announced as Official Rating and Run-Time Revealed

There is little doubt that people are greatly disappointed that Dune has been pushed back yet again. However, there's an awesome way to make the wait a little easier.

Dune is getting a special screening event on IMAX this month where fans can see some never-before-seen footage from the film. In addition to that, the Timothee Chalamet film's official rating and run-time have just been revealed.

The official Dune movie Twitter account has shared a new IMAX teaser and poster to celebrate an exclusive screening event later this July. The new trailer for the film will be screened during the event and it will feature never-before-seen footage and music.

It's an exclusive event so interested parties must reserve their IMAX seats as soon as possible. The event is open for fans in North America and selected regions like Australia, France, Germany, New Zealand, the UK, and more. You can book your seats for FREE here.

In related news, it has been revealed that MPAA has given Dune a PG-13 rating for "sequences of strong violence, disturbing images and suggestive material." The film's run-time has also been confirmed to be 2 hours and 35 minutes.

Dune was initially scheduled to premiere in December last year but needed to be pushed back due to COVID-19. Although the Denis Villeneuve flick was expected to premiere on October 1, it has been delayed by two weeks.

Dune will have its out-of-competition world premiere at the 2021 Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2021. The movie is then scheduled for release in selected theaters and on HBO Max on October 22, 2021.
