Marvel's X-Men Comics Teases a Cyclops/Wolverine Romance

Jonathan Hickman's X-Men comics have been some of the most interesting material Marvel has been putting out there, exploring this new status quo to the fullest. Krakoa is doomed, we all know it but we're so interested in seeing how that will happen, though we're sure Mystique will play some sort of role in it. As we wait for this true mutant paradise to crumble, there's another interesting aspect to this comic; Cyclops and Wolverine might be romantic (and sexual at it too).

It was already teased in X-Men #1 that Cyclops, Wolverine, and Jean Grey were in a polyamorous relationship, something that is rarely explored in comics, let alone from a mainstream publisher like Marvel. Most of us assumed it was just Jean Grey being with Cyclops and Wolverine but it looks like the two hunky mutants also have feelings for each other if this conversation from X-Men #7 is anything to go by.

This is a rather fascinating angle to take with these two characters and not a bad one at that. These two have been at each other's throats for the longest time but they also had each other's respect, fighting together whenever needed. You could argue that their want for Jean has led to some fondness over each other as well.

Let's see where this goes eh?
