John Krasinski is More Than Willing to Play Reed Richards in an MCU Fantastic Four Movie

If there's one good thing about Disney buying Fox and creating a monopoly in the movie industry, it's that we're now assured a good Fantastic Four movie. While Fox was capable of releasing good X-Men movies, the studio could never put the same effort on Marvel's First Family, which was a huge shame. Now that an MCU Fantastic Four movie is expected, one popular fan-cast has been John Krasinski as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic and his wife Emily Blunt as Susan Storm/Invisible Woman.

Speaking with Total Film Magazine (via ScreenRant), the A Quiet Place: Part II director revealed he is more than interested in playing Marvel's smartest character. He's also a big fan of the MCU movies, claiming that they're really fun and well-made so that's always good to hear. Will he actually play Reed Richards in a future Fantastic Four movie? We'll have to wait and see.

Here's what Krasinski had to say about the possible role:

"You're like, 'Do you have any interest in not shattering people's dreams?' [Laughs] I would love to be in the Marvel universe. I love those movies because they're fun. But I also think they're really well done. And certainly a lot of my friends are in those movies. I have no idea what [Marvel] are thinking. But if they are considering me for Mr. Fantastic, continue to considered me because I would love it."

The real question is if Marvel Studios will give in to fan demand and actually cast Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic. It wouldn't be the worst casting decision in the world and, if money is an issue, it's not like the actor is in high demand. Yeah, he's been in a couple of action movies but Krasinski isn't Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Don't expect an MCU Fantastic Four announcement anytime soon.
