Fantastic Four to Reportedly Appear in Ant-Man 3 with Tweaked Origin and Legacy

It's been a while since Disney completed its acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and Marvel fans are still waiting to see the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and all of Fox's other mutant characters to make their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Marvel has yet to announce its plans for Fox's mutant heroes, word on the rumor mill says that the Fantastic Four may very well make their debut into the MCU by appearing in Ant-Man 3.

According to a new report by Comic Book Movie writer Mikey Sutton (via Cosmic Book News), rumor has it that the third Ant-Man movie may very well bring the Fantastic Four into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A Quiet Place director and star John Krasinski is rumored to be the favorite candidate for the role of Mr. Fantastic. His A Quiet Place co-star and wife Emily Blunt is also considered the favorite candidate for the role of Invisible Woman.

Word on the street says that Marvel's version of the team is going to be far different from the previous incarnations of the superheroes. Instead of featuring a team of superheroes, Marvel's version of the Fantastic Four is going to be a family of explorers with the first ever solo Fantastic Four movie featuring a family travelling through strange worlds and dimensions.

The rumor also suggests that the Fantastic Four's origin story is going to be tweaked when they get into the MCU – the report suggests that Marvel's First Family will journey to the Negative Zone for their powers.

It's an interesting report to say the least. However, as with any rumor, we suggest that fans take everything with a grain of salt. We'll have to wait for confirmation from Marvel before really believing anything.

Phase 4 of the MCU begins when Black Widow premieres on May 1, 2020.
