Indian actor Farhan Akhtar reportedly joins the MCU in a mystery role which many are speculating is in the upcoming series of Ms. Marvel. The production of the film is currently in Bangkok to shoot some final scenes before the start of another film, Captain Marvel 2 where the titular role of Ms. Marvel will also be included.
According to a report by India Today, Farhan Akhtar has been cast for a role with Marvel Studios although it is not confirmed who would he be playing or where would he be appearing on. The actor is said to be stationed in Bangkok, the same place where the cast and crew of Ms. Marvel are. The report also said that details are still under wraps.
Akhtar, not his representatives confirmed what his role is but the speculations over the circumstances lead that him could be playing a role for Ms. Marvel.
If this is the case, then Akhtar will be joining another MCU newcomer, Iman Vellani, who will be portraying Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel. He is a possible candidate for Red Dagger's role as he certainly fits the bill and considering that other supporting roles in Ms. Marvel have already been filled.
Farhan Akhtar is known for his stardom in India. He has an upcoming film titled Toofaan where he would be portraying a boxer in the sports drama film. Toofaan will be released on Amazon Prime Video on May 21, 2021.
Ms. Marvel is currently in the works and is expected to arrive in late 2021.
