With the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe underway as WandaVision kicks-off the slate, one of the major films to be released in the same phase as the Eternals. Despite not having the same hype as other Marvel titles, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige reveals that the pitch for the Eternals is the best he'd ever heard.

The pitch of Chloé Zhao, director of the film, for the Eternals has received praise from none other than the big boss himself Kevin Feige where Feige stated that Zhao thinks in grand, cosmic, gigantic terms which the Eternals would be needed as it is a very big, sweeping, multimillennial-spanning story.

Director Chloé Zhao herself teased that the Eternals would push further and bigger than the Avengers: Endgame where Zhao would want to pursue the "marriage of East and West."

Zhao added that she is not making the Eternals as a director but as a fan. This will give everyone the perspective that Zhao is making the film for the fans.

The Eternals' nitty-gritty details are still in the shadows but this is the synopsis released for the film:

Marvel Studios' The Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind's most ancient enemy, The Deviants.

The Eternals will be portrayed by Angelina Jolie as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Don Lee as Gilgamesh, Richard Madden as Icarus, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Lia McHugh as Sprite, and Kit Harrington as Dane Whitman, an archaeologist.

With award-winning Hollywood stars headlining the film, a great pitch like that of Zhao's can be another groundbreaking and epic moment for MCU as it enters into its fourth phase.

The Eternals is scheduled to have its theatrical release in late 2021.
