The Flash Movie of the DCEU is definitely not canceled, in fact, the film is currently in development under Warner Bros. and will be canon to the DCEU. The Flash of Ezra Miller, however, won't have a release date as fast as the hero as its release date has been pushed back and that would still be subject to change depending on the circumstances.

The Flash was supposed to be premiering this year; however, the film has experienced a setback like any other films that there are as the coronavirus pandemic hits global and became the villain of our own story, including the vast change in the lifestyle of people affecting various industries like the film industry.

The Flash will be starring DCEU's Ezra Miller and the film will be directed by Andy Muschietti. The screenplay of the film will be based on the screenplay penned by Christina Hodson (Writer of Birds of Prey) and the film is expected to feature the elements of "Flashpoint," a storyline from DC Comics.

The film will be a treat to most DCEU fans as reportedly, both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will be returning as their very own version of Batman. However, if Michael Keaton would be unavailable, Christian Bale is eyed for the replacement.

The plot and release date of The Flash has been affected by the directors leaving and arriving such as Screenwriters Phil and Chris Lord and director Seth Grahame-Smith was supposed to be the original assigned director and screenwriter of the film back when it was slated for the 2018 release. They all left the project due to their creative differences.

Rick Famuyiwa, director of Dope, was supposed to fill in the gap of the director's chair but he left by October 2016. Muschietti and Hodson were put in place and they confirmed that they would be sticking around for The Flash film. They were supposed to begin filming by March 2021 and were eyeing the release date of June 3, 2022.

However, due to the global pandemic, there has been yet another move on the release date. All the shows in the roster of DCEU, along with The Flash, were pushed back to a later date which includes The Batman, Black Adam, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

Thankfully, for Wonder Woman 1984, they were able to deliver and had the film as a Christmas treat releasing it on HBO Max on the Christmas day of 2020 marking the film to be both a year-ender and a year-starter for the DCEU.

The Flash still has no surety as to the indicated release date that Warner Bros. has given to them. It is scheduled, for now, for November 4, 2022.

The Flash will be released in between the films of the animated DC Super Pets, and Jason Momoa's Aquaman 2.

The concern here is that whether the film would be pushing through as it is reported that the film has not yet started its production. Warner Bros. would rather wait than rush the production just to meet the release date set like that would be a health risk to the production team as well as to the actors. To say the least, The Flash is taking its time and is waiting it out for when it would be safe to deliver the film.

It could also be remembered that Ezra Miller was almost canceled by the fans as an incident arose where he was caught on video as he was seemingly choking a female fan and threw her on the ground at a local bar in Iceland. Since then, Ezra Miller has been facing the canceled culture and the fans are calling to take him out of The Flash as they say that he isn't fit to be a hero with that kind of attitude.

Still, Ezra Miller stands to be The Flash to date. Ezra Miller is still responsible though for the delay of the film as he was recently contracted to be in the latest Fantastic Beasts film which will be out in November this year.

The Flash recently appeared in Zack Snyder's Justice League where his character was given a much deeper back story than that on the theatrical release of the same film in 2017 and the character of Irish West was also featured.

The Flash is slated for release on November 4, 2022, and it is expected to be released in theaters in hopes that the coronavirus pandemic dies down by that time.
