If we learned anything from Marvel throughout the years, it is that everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is connected to each other. Talking about the interconnection between one show to another, in the recent trailers of Loki, in a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, many are convinced that Black Widow will be appearing in the canon series with snippets of what seems to be her in a purplish planet.

Is Black Widow in Loki Series?

Now that it has expanded the universe from the big screen to the small screens through Disney+, the doors for possibilities open wider. In the two trailers released for Loki, a woman in an all-black suit was found at the 2:02 mark of the first trailer where she was sitting alone, and at the 2:06 mark of the official trailer where God of Mischief was beside her in the same setting with the same purple hues.

The look of the woman is reminiscent to the look of Black Widow/ Natasha Romanoff in her all-black suit during either the Avengers: Age of Ultron where she sported a short wavy bob or the Avengers: Infinity War with her short blonde hair, one she clearly outgrew by the time Avengers: Endgame arrived with her demise in exchange for the Soul stone at Vormir with Hawkeye/ Clint Barton. And the planet, it looks like Vormir as well.

Taking into consideration that Loki is happening after he escaped in 2012 during the time heist of the Avengers to collect all the stones, it is somewhere near those two possibilities, maybe and possibly in between. Still, it does not discount the possibility of her appearance in Loki as it is tricky with time. The series could do various time-jumps as it is mainly fixated on such issues.

Is Black Widow Not in Loki Series?

However, the images are not that clear whether it really is Black Widow or not. The first one was too far to completely recognize her face while she was facing backward in the second. There is no clear shot of the face that could open to another possibility, she's not in the series, and some believe that it is the character of Sophia Di Martino, the one who will presumably play the role of Lady Loki.

In photos that circulated around social media in March, set photos were leaked with Sophia Di Martino wearing what seems to be her costume in Lady Loki. She sports the same wavy hair as Natasha's in Ultron and the same blonde color as Natasha's in Infinity War. There is no confirmation yet if her role is indeed Lady Loki but all the stars point in that direction.

While this is not to kill the hype on the possibility of Black Widow making an appearance in Loki, this is another plausible explanation for the mystery girl in the trailers. It might not be Natasha, but instead, it is Lady Loki.
