Loki Star Tom Hiddleston Says Shapeshifting Logo Teases MCU Show's Premise

Fans might not be that impressed with the logo for the new Disney+ series Loki but Tom Hiddleston believes that it's important to the Marvel Cinematic Universe show. After all, the Avengers: Endgame star points out that the shapeshifting logo is a perfect way to show viewers what the series is all about.

It's no secret that fans were unhappy when the Loki logo was first revealed at the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Some pointed out that it looked like an amateur artist chose random fonts and threw them all together. However, the official trailer for the series has confirmed that the logo can actually shapeshift.

That's an interesting talent that the logo shares with Loki himself. Hiddleston told Empire that the logo is a clue on what to look forward to in the show.

"I think that shapeshifting logo might give you an idea that Loki, the show, is about identity, and about integrating the disparate fragments of the many selves that he can be, and perhaps the many selves that we are," Hiddleston said.

He then admitted that he believes "it was very exciting" since he "always found Loki a very complex construct."

"Who is this character who can wear so many masks, and changes shape, and seems to change his external feeling on a sixpence?" Hiddleston said.

Well, now if you put it that way, the logo is not that bad after all. With that in mind, we're excited to see what Loki has been up to all this time.

Loki is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on June 11, 2021.
