The War of the Spark Chronicles event in Magic: The Gathering Arena may be over but the game is getting ready to introduce new events that can help players earn new rewards and gain additional XP for the new Mastery system.
Today's Magic: The Gathering ArenaState of the Beta has announced three new "Plane-Cation" Chronicles events coming to the digital game, and they are Guild Battle, Standard Shake-Up, and Landfall. Each Plane-cation event will reward one of each of the five basic land types using artwork based on the location, and there will be six new basic lands (2 Forests) you can add to your collection for the first location: Ravnica.
You'll also be able to use gems to purchase other basic lands and other land card art styles in the Arena store.
Your first win will reward you 1,000 XP for Arena's new Mastery system.
In addition to Pauper and Treasure Constructed, the three new Plane-Cation events are Guild Battle, Standard Shake-Up, and Landfall.
Guild Battle
In Guild Battle, players will be able to choose from one of the ten preconstructed decks to play with, each representing one of the ten Ravnica guilds. You can preview each deck before choosing, and you can always change between matches but the cards in the preconstructed decks will not be added to your collection.
Standard Shake-Up
In Standard Shake-Up, the event encourages Standard Constructed brews and to avoid powerful meta decks in this event, there's a ban list for this event only. Here are the 20 cards banned in this event:

Remember the Zendikar mechanic Landfall? They're bringing that back in this Chronicle event. In Landfall, each player will have an emblem that reads, "Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, exile the top card of your library. If that card is a land card, put it into your hand. If that card is a creature card, put that card on the bottom of your library and create a 1/1 green Plant creature token. If that card is a noncreature, nonland card, put that card on the bottom of your library, each opponent loses 1 life, and you gain 1 life."
