Valorant Agent 15 is coming in Episode 2: Act 2. Although Riot Games has not officially announced the character, a few details have been released about the new agent, including the agent's abilities, agent type, and more.
The first details for Agent 15 have been revealed, so here's everything we know about Valorant's new agent so far.
Valorant Agent 15 Release Date
Riot just released Agent 14, Yoru in Episode 2, Act 1 of Valorant, so if you're still trying to master playing the new agent, you'd be surprised to know that the developer is already planning to release the next agent in Episode 2: Act 2, which is currently scheduled to start on March 2, 2021, but this could change.
Valorant Agent 15 Abilities & Gameplay Details
There are currently no leaks for Agent 15's abilities, appearance, and name yet, but Riot revealed the type of agent the next one will be.
Riot has confirmed that Agent 15 will be the fourth Controller in Valorant. The game has only released three Controller agents so far: Omen, Brimstone, and Viper.
"We're trying to push the boundaries when it comes to Agent abilities in Valorant, and so far, everything we've thrown at you has been less disruptive than we thought they'd be," Valorant character producer John Goscicki said in the February "State of the Agents".
"Our next Controller is a cosmic shift from the play patterns you've grown accustomed to. This one is for all you ‘galaxy brain' players out there that like to study everything that happens on a map."
In Valorant, there are four types of agents with their own tactical usage: Duelist, Initiator, Controller, and Sentinel. Controllers are described to be experts in slicing up dangerous territory to set their team up for success.
This suggests that Valorant's next Controller will be space-themed, so they might look like an astronaut or some kind of alien, with potentially the ability to have a bird's-eye view of the entire map.
The player card in the Episode 2: Act 1 Battle Pass also reveals a Player Card with an image of an astronaut, so this could be a hint to what Agent 15 will look like since the game has historically teased upcoming agents in the previous Battle Passes this way.
