Whether you'd like to admit it or not, Thor had a mediocre start in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it didn't help that his second film Thor: The Dark World was among the worst-rated films in the franchise. However, that all changed when Taika Waititi stepped in and pretty much did the opposite the studio has been doing with the character for its third sequel Thor: Ragnarok.
The drastic change in the God of Thunder's overall presentation proved to be a risk worth taking as Ragnarok easily became one of the best MCU flicks ever produced and which is why Waititi was tasked to helm a fourth Thor film.
The last time we saw Odinson was in his depressing state in Avengers: Endgame as "Fat Thor" but it looks like the mighty one is changing things up for Thor: Love and Thunder. Cameras have officially begun rolling for the highly anticipated film which would also feature the Guardians of the Galaxy and set images are already leaking online.
One of the set leaks includes a potential tease at Chris Hemsworth's new look for the film and boy, he looks beefier than ever! Thor seems to be wearing an outfit inspired by his Thunderstrike look from the '90s. Of course, this may very well indicate that the fan-favorite Bro Thor won't be showing up in the fourth sequel. Check it out here.
Thor: Love and Thunder are already generating hype this early in the game and quite frankly, there's plenty of reasons to be excited about this one. The change in Thor's overall look may come as a huge shocker to some, but I'm guessing it's Marvel Studios' way of introducing Jane Foster's version of the character. I mean, you wouldn't want to see her and Thor wearing matching outfits, right?
Thor: Love and Thunder are slated for release in 2022.
