A lot of Star Wars fans were hopeful that after Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano's appearances on The Mandalorian, it would be followed up with the much-awaited live-action debut of Star Wars Rebels protagonist Ezra Bridger. Sadly, the show's second season closed out without a single cameo from him, not even a mention of the now-iconic animated character.

Supergirl actor Rahul Kohli has been teasing fans for months now that he's been cast by Lucasfilm in the role but we later found out that he was just messing but it was pretty evident that Kohli, who recently starred in The Haunting of Bly Manor has a strong desire to play Bridger in live-action form.

However, he may have had a change of heart as Rahul is now making it clear that he's over the casting rumors. The 35-year-old actor has revealed on Twitter that he officially blocked the topic "Ezra Bridger" on his timeline which means that he'll no longer get dragged into casting rumors by fans.

By the looks of things, Rahul has yet to get a call from Jon Favreau or Dave Filoni which is a damn shame considering he seems to be determined all this time to shoot his shot and get the chance of playing the Jedi padawan. We don't know for sure if he's just trying to mess with fans anew or he's truly done getting his hopes up at becoming Ezra Bridger but you know what they say, you can never say never.

Meanwhile, all episodes of The Mandalorian are available on Disney+.
