Confusion immediately kicked in for some fans after learning that Jamie Foxx's Electro and Alfred Molina's Doc Ock will be coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Both actors played the villains in two different Spider-Man films not set in the actual MCU timeline so of course, the idea is bewildering to the most casual of fans.
Of course, if you've been a diehard webhead all these years, chances are you have a strong hunch as to what Marvel Studios and Sony are cooking up and that could be the arrival of the Sinister Six, a collection of Spidey's most ruthless foes. While the supervillain team's involvement in No Way Home has yet to be confirmed, several sources claim that it's in fact part of the plan.
So far, the rumored members include Doc Ock, Electro, Vulture, and Mysterio who clearly has a score to settle with Tom Holland's wallcrawler. Now, a new Reddit rumor posted on the MarvelStudiosSpoilers page suggests that the MCU will remain faithful to the original lineup which first debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man # 1 as both Kraven the Hunter and Sandman will join forces with the aforementioned villains to create the elite team.

This is still a rumor at this point so take it with a grain of salt but given the fact that two villains from outside of the MCU are set to wreak havoc in Earth-616, the idea of the studios setting up the Sinister Six isn't too far of a reach when you think about it. Now, should the rumors end up being true, it'll be interesting to see why the studios are stacking the odds against our friendly neighborhood. Who's going to help him? *wink wink*
