We've seen our first glimpse at Robert Pattinson's The Batman last August and judging by the film's official trailer, Matt Reeves is in fact making good on his promise that this project will be unlike any other Batman film we've seen before. Reeves has stated in the past that his vision for Gotham City will be quite different. Now, we have photographic evidence that seemingly supports his claims.

Daily Mailreleased a new batch of behind-the-scenes photos that highlights Batman's majestic version of Gotham City and Bruce Wayne's iconic lair. The famed DC Comics location is covered in snow, obviously hinting that the film will be set during Winter. Arguably the best bit from the newly-released set photos, however, is the unique-looking Batcave which seems to be located beside a cliff.

Fans have previously speculated that the Batcave will be part of an abandoned subway station but looking at the new set photos, that doesn't seem to be the case. Check out the set photos here.

Fans admire Matt Reeves' attention to detail and his dedication to giving the film a much different feel than its predecessors. As a bonafide Batman guy, I'm beyond stoked to see his vision come to life and something tells me that Robert Pattinson's take on the iconic comic book character will blow all of us away.

The Batman is currently scheduled for release in 2022.
