2021 marks Captain America's 80th anniversary and you can best believe that Marvel has a lot of surprises in store for fans of the star-spangled man.

The celebration sorta kicked off just a couple of months ago when the Marvel Cinematic Universe ushered in a brand new era as Sam Wilson officially became the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, taking over for Steve Rogers.

On the comics side of things, Marvel is also commemorating eight decades of one of its premier superheroes in the biggest and best way possible. The comic book giant just unveiled the official cover of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #28 which is set to hit stores next month and it features the fan-favorite wall-crawler donning a brand new suit reminiscent of Cap himself.

In the said comic cover, Miles is seen wielding Cap's vibranium shield and his trademark black color scheme was replaced with red, white, and blue. Staying true to his Puerto Rican roots, the "new" suit also has influences from Morales' heritage. Check it out here:

Going back to the MCU, Sam Wilson's flight as the new Captain America is only getting started and if the latest reports are to be believed, the actor is set to headline his first movie Captain America 4 which is said to be under development over at Marvel Studios.

While Steve's decision to choose Sam initially raised a few eyebrows within the MCU, it's safe to say that our new star-spangled Avenger has gained the confidence and trust of a lot of people especially after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's grand finale.

No official release date for Captain America 4 has been announced yet.
