With Daniel Craig set to end his James Bond tenure in No Time to Die, the question on everyone's mind is: who will become his successor as Agent 007? The rumor mill has produced "candidates" for the coveted spy role — from Idris Elba to even Margot Robbie but apparently, even Marvel actor Tom Hiddleston is also being rumored to be in the running for a future Bond film.

The British actor who is set to star in his own Marvel Cinematic Universe spin-off show Loki has addressed the casting rumors several times in the past and now, according to him, he's become very aware of his answers which would often get taken out of context, leading to speculations from fans.

In an interview with Empire Magazine (via ComicBook), Hiddleston explained: "What can I say that you don't already know? It's interesting in itself that I've suddenly become very aware of what I'm saying, is it not? Because there's something about what I'm saying that becomes the story. Not for you, but the world outside. Whatever I say, I've found, generated more questions."

His involvement in the MCU pretty moved proved that Hiddleston can be taken seriously as an action star and I'm pretty sure he's thought about taking on a high-profile role like James Bond at least once in his life. Now, whether or not Tom is ready to step outside the Marvel realm remains to be seen because clearly, the studio still has a lot of plans going for the God of Mischief, despite the fact that he's been killed off on numerous occasions.

Loki is scheduled for release on June 11, 2021.
