If it wasn't obvious enough, Marvel Studios has been experimenting quite a lot on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Four. It all started with WandaVision when Kevin Feige and his crew gave us the franchise's first sitcom. Fans can also expect future projects to go against the grain and not follow the standard MCU formula a lot of us have grown accustomed to.
The studio is also set to premiere its first-ever animated series titled What If...? which is set to feature several different iterations of our beloved characters.
Now, given the fact that What If...? is an animated show, fans are under the impression that anything that happens in the series won't affect the MCU's live-action side of things but according to a new report, one of the characters from the upcoming series could make a surprise cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The Disinsider Show claims that Peggy Carter's alternate persona aka Captain Carter will make an appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel which is set to explore the multiverse. Hosts Skyler Shuler and Derek Cornell reveal: "[What If...? is] not the last time we're going to see Captain Carter. We are hearing... this is not confirmed. Captain Carter is supposedly going to show up in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."

I've always thought that Marvel Studios dropped the ball on Peggy Carter despite the fact that Hayley Atwell was given her own spinoff series. Obviously, not a lot of fans were able to follow that show so it's great that they're bringing her back for the What If...? series. As for the possibility of Peggy showing up in Multiverse of Madness, I wouldn't be surprised if she does in fact appear in the film but then again, seeing is believing.
will premiere on August 11 only on Disney+.
