Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been clamoring for years now to see John Krasinski and Emily Blunt play Reed Richards and Sue Storm in Marvel Studio's Fantastic Four reboot and following the confirmation that the studio will indeed be introducing the First Family to the franchise, the desire to see the real-life couple as Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman only intensified.

The fan-casting has been "supported" by several rumors which have circulated all over the internet for quite some time now claiming that Kevin Feige has met with both Krasinski and Blunt. Of course, considering the fact that they were previously in talks with the studio to join the franchise, something they both confirmed in the past, the idea of Feige wooing them again isn't too hard to believe.

Now, Blunt is setting the record straight amid new rumors linking her to the upcoming project. In an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, the Edge of Tomorrow actress finally dismissed the ongoing rumors and claimed that Marvel has never approached her or her husband to do Fantastic Four. She shared: "That is fan-casting. No one has received a phone call. That's just people saying, ‘Wouldn't that be great?'"

It would be a major disappointment if Krasinski and Blunt don't end up getting cast as the key members of the Fantastic Four because it just feels right and would be a pretty spot-on casting. And I feel like time is running out for the couple and if the studio fails to get them for the said project, it's hard to imagine which other superheroes they could portray. I guess only time will tell but for now, I remain hopeful.
